Fuel Heater Delete for 7.3L IDI Engines

Permanently delete the fuel filter heater on a 7.3 liter IDI engine. The filter heater protrudes through the top of the fuel filter base where it is sealed with an o-ring. Deleting the filter will not impede cold weather performance - this is old technology that it is not particularly efficient in preventing fuel waxing - but it will eliminate a common source of fuel leaks.

This kit includes all hardware necessary to delete the fuel heater and install an expansion plug in its place. If desired, this will also delete the continuous vent system. Furthermore, new Viton compression sleeves are included to reseal the fuel inlet and outlet lines at the filter base.
